Inland Altimetry
The Sentinels Hydrologic Altimetry PrototypE (SHAPE) project addresses the need to prepare for the operational exploitation of Sentinel-3 over the inland water domain, keeping in mind that there is no Inland Water dedicated processing on the Sentinel-3 Ground Segment. The study focusses on three main variables of interest in hydrology: river stage, river discharge and lake level.
isardSAT has developed and implemented a Level-1 SAR processor for Sentinel-3 and CryoSat-2 data for river and lakes.
This project has been funded by ESA under the Scientific Exploitation of Operational Missions (SEOM) Programme Element to prepare for the exploitation of Sentinel-3 data over the inland water domain (water heights and discharge).
